Samuel Oluwagbotemi Idowu is a gospel artist, worship leader, songwriter, artistic director and music director with a deep passion for using music to inspire faith, touch lives, and bring people closer to God. His love for music is rooted in worship, apostolic praise and a genuine desire to share the message of Christ.
The Nigerian born singer, Samuel, has released songs, including “I Will Wait,” “Dimimu,” “Take Your Place Holy Ghost,” “Deliver Me,” and “Mo Ki O (Apostolic Praise).” He has also featured on several gospel songs and performed at different music programmes, concerts, worship gatherings, and faith-based events.
Samuel also has a strong academic background. He is a graduate of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Healthcare Management programme at York St John University, UK. He also holds a Master’s degree (MSc) from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and a Bachelor’s degree (BSc) from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Nigeria. His academic journey reflects his commitment to continuous learning, leadership, and personal development.
Outside of his music career, Samuel also known as Samydee used to be a Nigeria Premier (Football) League referee, where he officiated several NPFL matches before retiring, he was also a lecturer at Gateway Polytechnic, Saapade in Ogun state. Samuel is the founder and organiser of the Love & Light Concert, a charitable music event created to use music as a force for good while supporting important causes within the community.
